Bradford Deaf Community Association is a charitable company which was incorporated 18/11/2010 and obtained charitable status 01/03/2011.

In April 2011, the new charity shall acquire the assets of a dissolved charity. The acquisition of 21-25 Hallfield Road includes a substantial Grade II listed building which will become the hub of the charity’s activities.

The building is of significant historical and cultural importance to the deaf community, originally having been obtained in July 1896 by the Adult Deaf & Dumb Institute, which was first established in Bradford in 1864.
